Is iemand in uw naaste omgeving ziek, en bent u de enige die de zieke nog zorg kan bieden? Dan kunt u gebruik maken van de regeling kortdurend zorgverlof. Dit kan niet gebruikt worden voor iemand die in een ziekenhuis ligt, deze persoon krijgt namelijk verzorging.
Bij kortdurend zorgverlof heeft u recht op maximaal 2 keer het aantal uren welke in de arbeidsovereenkomst met u zijn afgesproken. Werkt u 32 uur, dan heeft u voor kortdurend zorgverlof 64 uur te besteden. Dit geldt voor een periode van 12 maanden en gaat in op de eerste dag dat u gebruik maakt van uw kortdurende zorgverlof. Uw salaris wordt voor minimaal 70% doorbetaald over de opgenomen uren.
U meldt het verlof zo spoedig mogelijk bij uw werkgever. Uw werkgever mag achteraf nog om bewijs vragen dat het verlof nodig was.
